Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Marlow, who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a supportive Key Stage 2 environment and make an immediate impact on pupils’ learning and progress.

About the Role

This role offers the chance to take ownership of a Year 5 class at a key point in their academic journey, helping pupils build confidence and prepare for the transition into Year 6.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching a Year 5 class and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across the curriculum
  • Planning, assessing, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Stretching and challenging pupils while providing support where needed
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Delivering targeted interventions to support academic and personal development
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from teachers who are passionate about Key Stage 2 and ready to hit the ground running.

You will ideally:

  • Hold QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent qualification (unqualified teachers considered)
  • Have experience teaching within KS2, particularly Year 5
  • Be confident delivering engaging and purposeful lessons
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be positive, proactive, and committed to making a difference
