Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Hours: 9:00am–4:30pm
Pay: £130- £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic ESOL Tutor to deliver high‑quality English and maths sessions to young learners aged 16–19 working at ESOL Entry Level 1. This role supports a further‑education environment that provides functional skills, employability and essential skills programmes within a supportive and inclusive mainstream learning setting, designed to help young people overcome barriers and progress toward their aspirations.
The Role
You will deliver ESOL English and maths to a cohort of approximately 14 learners, helping them build confidence and prepare for Functional Skills assessments. Lesson planning is required, following an established Scheme of Work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Teaching ESOL Entry Level 1 English & maths to 16–19 learners
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Scheme of Work
- Preparing learners for Functional Skills exams
- Supporting learners to develop essential and employability skills in a positive, inclusive environment that offers tailored support to help them overcome learning barriers.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience teaching ESOL and/or Functional Skills
- Ability to plan and deliver your own lessons
- Strong communication and learner‑support skills
- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (or willingness to apply – we can assist)
