Role: Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Brighton and Hove

Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time

Start Date: September 2026

Daily Rate: £92.63 – £110 (dependent on experience)

Our agency is partnered with a network of welcoming primary schools in Brighton and Hove, who have an increased need for a confident and compassionate Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years teams from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner passionate about supporting children during the crucial early stages of their education.

About the Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s early development and fostering a positive, stimulating learning environment. You will collaborate closely with the class teacher and wider team to deliver high-quality Early Years provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of a creative and purposeful EYFS curriculum
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote learning and development
  • Provide nurturing support that encourages independence, curiosity, and confidence
  • Assist in monitoring and recording children’s progress
  • Organise resources and maintain an inviting, safe classroom environment
  • Build constructive relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies appropriate to Early Years settings

Candidate Profile

  • Level 3 EYFS qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within an Early Years environment
  • Strong understanding of early child development and the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication skills with a patient, supportive manner
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Confidence in applying behaviour strategies that support emotional and social development

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two relevant professional references
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
