The school is now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join the department on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026.
About the Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that help students develop confidence, fluency, and strong problem-solving skills.
You will play a key role in ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately, helping them achieve their full academic potential while fostering a positive attitude towards mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering High-Quality Maths Lessons
Plan and teach engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring lessons are accessible, challenging, and inclusive.
Supporting Student Progress
Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in reaching their academic targets.
Preparing Students for GCSE Success
Ensure pupils are fully prepared for GCSE examinations through clear teaching, targeted intervention, and strong curriculum knowledge.
Creating a Positive Learning Environment
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and achievement while promoting an inclusive classroom culture.
Contributing to Department Development
Work collaboratively within the Maths department to support curriculum planning, resource development, and the sharing of best practice.
Building Strong Communication
Maintain effective communication with parents, colleagues, and pastoral teams to support student progress and wellbeing.
Supporting Wider School Life
Take part in enrichment opportunities, school initiatives, and extracurricular activities that enhance the student experience.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Maths Teacher who is committed to delivering outstanding teaching and inspiring students to succeed.
You will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics
- Use creative, reflective, and effective teaching strategies
- Maintain high expectations for both behaviour and academic achievement
- Be committed to continuous professional development and career growth
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
