Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting pupils’ development across all areas of learning.
  • Plan and provide engaging, play-based learning opportunities that cater to a range of abilities and interests.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development in a nurturing environment.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom that promotes curiosity and independence.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with EYFS frameworks, using observations to inform planning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child’s development and well-being.
  • Promote positive behaviour and establish strong routines to support early learning.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience within Early Years or Reception is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about early years education and committed to professional development.
  • Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
