HLTA– Large Primary school for intervention group work  

A vibrant, recently refurbished school near central Chichester is looking for an Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support with small group teaching for a group of children who need extra support. This role would be throughout KS1 and 2 and would include small intervention groups for core lessons.  

This long-term role begins asap, with potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Applicants must hold an HLTA qualification, CACHE Level 3 in Education, or an Education Degree.

Key responsibilities for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role are:

• To be able to adapt planning and resources to suit the needs of the group and individuals
• To step into the role of the teacher at points to deliver lessons if a teacher is absent or on PPA
• Take part in collaborative planning and assessment
• Be confident to support individuals with additional needs
• Be an active member of the wider school community

The minimum requirements for this Teaching Assistant role are:

• Have the right to work in the UK
• 2 Years’ worth of references
• A current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
• Have an HLTA qualification/a level 3 CACHE certification/ a degree in education
