Dance Teacher – Join Our Team!

Location: Amersham

Start: September 2026

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £29,344-£44,919

You stand at the front of the room.

Books are open. Students are waiting. Some are ready. Some are sceptical. Some are quietly confident they already know what history is.

By the end of the lesson, they understand something different: history is not about remembering dates — it is about understanding why things happened, who held power, and how decisions shaped lives.

That is what this History Teacher role is about.

What This Role Actually Involves

You will teach KS3 and KS4 History in a school where subject knowledge, structure, and calm authority are valued. Lessons are planned. Routines are embedded. Debate is encouraged — but always with purpose and control.

Your role is to:

  • Deliver clear, well‑sequenced History lessons
  • Teach students how to analyse sources and evidence
  • Develop extended writing and structured argument
  • Prepare students confidently for GCSE assessment
  • Challenge misconceptions and deepen understanding
  • Maintain a focused, respectful classroom environment

The Kind of Teacher This Role Needs

This is not a performance‑led classroom. It suits a teacher who:

  • Enjoys explaining ideas carefully
  • Values consistency over novelty
  • Sets clear expectations and follows through
  • Believes good discussion requires strong structure

Professional Requirements

  • Experience teaching History at secondary level is preferred
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom presence are essential

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with strong academic backgrounds or relevant teaching experience.
