SharePoint Developer - Sharepoint 2019, ShareGate, Nintex, Migration | Contract | Outside IR35

What we are looking for

As a part of a team of SharePoint developers reporting into the Senior Project Delivery Governance Manager, the SharePoint Developer will have prior experience in migrating SharePoint sites, content and workflows. Migrations are managed via the ShareGate product, although the migration of content databases for larger sites will be required.   

Overview

SharePoint is used extensively within this organisation for the purpose of providing documentation management systems, designing bespoke in-house applications to automate business processes and hosting the Group’s intranet, which are currently hosted in SharePoint 2019 on premise in over 60 site collections.

The key area of responsibility for this role the delivery of the migration plan, migrating all small / medium sites to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition on premise via the ShareGate solution and any large / complex sites via content database migration. 

Preferred skills and experience

• Experience working on SharePoint on premise migrations (ideally SharePoint 2019)
• Understanding of SharePoint permission structures
• Prior ShareGate migration tools and Nintex workflow experience 
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas in a professional manner.
• JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Proactive approach to workloads and changing environments.
  • Ability to work with people across all functions and levels of an IT organisation.
  • Managing and changing the way the site looks using Style Sheets in line with the Company branding.
    • Ability to function as a member of a team while also capable of operation with little supervision or constant guidance.
    • Although not essential C# experience would be beneficial.

Main responsibilities

• Work with the project management team to deliver the migration of some 85 SharePoint sites and applications across 60+ site collections from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition on premise primarily using the ShareGate migration tool.
• Theming sites post migration in line with company branding.
• Work with end users to test their sites, workflows and functionality work as expected once migrated
• Provide support to end users in the use of new SharePoint navigation and functionality post the migration of their site
