Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven background in Digital Retail to work on two-year programme of high-impact customer-facing initiatives. Projects include enhancing their mobile app, implementing click & collect and ship-to-store services, and delivering personalised website experiences. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage delivery across internal teams and external vendors, while engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end delivery of digital retail projects, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and customer experience goals.
  • Manage a small direct team (c.2 people) plus matrix resources, including delivery managers, vendors, and technical specialists.
  • Work closely with product, e-commerce, operations, and technology stakeholders to define and deliver project outcomes.
  • Create and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring delivery to time, scope, and quality.
  • Oversee vendor performance, ensuring deliverables meet expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Communicate project progress and outcomes clearly to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Champion best practice in project delivery and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven Digital Retail experience – delivering customer-facing initiatives such as mobile app enhancements, e-commerce functionality, click & collect, ship-to-store, or personalisation platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build consensus across business units.
  • Track record managing both in-house and third-party/vendor teams.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up sleeves to drive delivery.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall/hybrid environments.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills in fast-paced settings.
