Test Analyst (ETL Pipelines)

Location: Leicestershire - 2-3 days onsite per week

Rate: £360.00 per day

Contract: 6 months+

IR35: Outside IR35

The Opportunity

We’re supporting our client on a Data Migration initiative, and they’re looking for a Data focused Test Analyst to join the team.

This role will sit within the data engineering environment, focusing on validating ETL pipelines, data transformations, and end-to-end data flows as part of a broader modernisation of their data platforms.

You’ll work closely with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data pipelines are robust, reliable, and delivering accurate outputs across downstream systems.

The Role

As a QA Test Analyst, you will:

•Test ETL pipelines and data transformations across the data platform

•Validate data integrity and movement between systems

•Write and execute test cases for complex data workflows

•Use SQL to interrogate and validate data outputs

•Work closely with data engineers to identify and resolve defects

•Support integration and end-to-end testing across data pipelines

•Contribute to test planning, defect management, and QA best practices

Essential Skills & Experience

•Proven experience as a QA / Test Analyst within data or ETL environments

•Strong experience testing ETL pipelines or data integration workflows

•Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis

•Experience testing data pipelines, transformations, and integrations

•Comfortable working within Agile delivery teams

Desirable Experience

•Exposure to Azure Databricks environments

•Experience working with modern data platforms or cloud data tooling

•Previous experience within large-scale enterprise programmes
