DRA Global is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to support a project near Sadiola, Mali
We are seeking a practical and knowledgeable HSE professional to collaborate effectively with construction teams, contractors, and project management, ensuring the safe execution of all project activities.
Position Requirements
- Malian citizenship is essential for this role
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant HSE experience, preferably within mining, construction, engineering, or EPCM project environments
- Previous experience on construction or mining projects in Mali is advantageous
- Good working knowledge of Mali’s occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Proven practical experience in hazard identification and risk assessment
- Experience conducting construction HSE inspections and field assurance
- Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and high-risk activity controls
- Incident reporting and investigation expertise
- Experience in managing contractor HSE compliance
- Skilled in delivering HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and workforce engagement initiatives
- Strong reporting, documentation, and computer literacy skills
- Fluency in English and relevant local languages
- Willingness and ability to work on-site near Sadiola in accordance with the project’s rotation and work schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the project HSE Management System
- Monitor compliance with project procedures, risk assessments, and safe work practises
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, observations, and verification of critical controls
- Coach and support frontline supervisors in effective HSE management
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviours, ensuring timely and appropriate corrective actions
- Participate in incident investigations and oversee follow-up actions
- Monitor contractor HSE performance, escalating significant concerns as necessary
- Assist in HSE reporting, data analysis, and project assurance activities
- Promote visible leadership, employee engagement, and a culture of safety throughout the workforce
