Main Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to join our Digital Factory team. This role is pivotal in leading agile proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives that drive innovation and digital transformation across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile project delivery, with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects from ideation through to execution. In addition to project management responsibilities, the role includes a secondary focus on business analysis – supporting the team in gathering requirements, identifying opportunities, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage agile proof-of-concept (POC) projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Facilitate agile collaboration sessions (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure adherence to agile best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact digital solutions, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities and that they work together effectively to achieve project objectives.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively address any roadblocks that may arise.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, status reports, and project budgets.
- Communicate status, risks, and issues to project stakeholders, including senior management, sponsors, and team members.
- Support business analysis activities such as gathering and refining requirements, mapping processes and validating solutions.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and user-centric design within the team.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking project costs, managing budget variances, and forecasting future expenditures.
- Ensure that project outcomes are aligned with business objectives, scope, requirements and design and that the project’s benefits are realised
Knowledge Areas:
- Experience using Microsoft Office technologies and tools (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel etc.) (essential)
- Experience using Microsoft Project (essential)
- Experience with digital technologies, API’s, cloud platforms, integration concepts, AI, data (essential)
- Experience in business analysis techniques, including stakeholder interviews, process mapping and user story creation (essential)
Experience:
- 4 years+ working in an IT or digital capacity in a medium to large organisation (essential)
- 5 years+ exposure to high-performance PMO Tools (advantageous)
- 4 years + experience managing digital or IT project implementations (essential)
- 4 years+ experience in Business Requirements gathering and Business Process Mapping (essential)
- 3 years+ solid understanding of agile methodologies and digital product development lifecycles (essential)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of digital factory technologies and processes
- Strong project management skills

- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Qualifications:
- Senior Certificate/High-School diploma (essential)
- Project Management Qualification (Prince2, SAFeAgile, PMP etc) (advantageous)
- Training in Business Analytics (advantageous)
- Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science (advantageous)
