Hybrid working model - 2 days onsite Rosebank

Role Summary:

• The Automation AI Engineer/Associate supports the shaping and prioritisation of AI use cases, converts those use cases into clear backlogs with clear success criteria and realistic tradeoffs, and introduces delivery transparency and accountability across the engineering function.
• This is not a purely hands-on engineering role; it requires strong AI and AWS credibility, with selective hands-on involvement when teams need unblocking or critical technical guidance.( ops 60%; strategic 40%?)
• This role also plays a key enablement function, helping engineers (including RPA and Java-heavy teams) transition into modern AI and cloud delivery ways of working through coaching, working examples, and repeatable engineering patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

1) AI Use Case Shaping (Technical Lens)

• Support the identification and shaping of AI/automation use cases early, helping teams clarify scope, feasibility, dependencies, and “what good looks like”.
• Partner with the Product Manager / Delivery Lead to provide a strong technical lens across prioritization, sequencing, and readiness.
• Ensure use cases are framed in a way that can be built, validated, and operationalized.
