Are you a skilled Bricklayer or Multi-Skilled Tradesperson with a passion for teaching? Choice Teachers is recruiting for a Lecturer in Bricklaying and Multi Skills to join a leading further education provider in Luton.

This role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and is perfect for someone who wants to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of construction professionals.


Role Overview:

You will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical lessons across Bricklaying and Construction Multi Skills at Level 1 to Level 3, helping students develop essential trade knowledge and workplace readiness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess learners in Bricklaying and general construction skills

  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials

  • Support and mentor students throughout their course

  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement

  • Maintain student records and ensure compliance with awarding body and college standards


Requirements:

  • Industry-recognised qualifications in Bricklaying or Construction (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 Diploma) or willingness to work towards one

  • Experience teaching in an FE setting is desirable but not essential

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
