Position: Supply Teacher (QTS Required)

Location: Milton Keynes
Contract Type: Supply/Day-to-day and longer-term placements available

Daily Rate: £120 - £160+ per day (depending on experience and school)


About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects and year groups
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching styles
  • Maintain classroom management and follow school policies
  • Support student learning and engagement during absence cover
  • Complete handover notes and feedback for permanent staff

Pastoral Care:

  • Support students' emotional and social development
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Contribute to the school's safeguarding procedures
  • Participate in parents' evenings and school events

Professional Development:

  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices
  • Participate in school improvement initiatives
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions

Essential Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
  • Degree in relevant subject area
  • Recent safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)

Experience:

  • Teaching experience in UK schools (preferred)
  • Experience with the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of assessment and data tracking systems
