The Opportunity

A forward-thinking Special School based in Northampton is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teachers to join their specialist team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced SEN educators to make a tangible difference for pupils aged 3-18.

About the School

The school is a nurturing special academy designed to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties. Recently recognised as SEND School of the Year at The Northamptonshire Education Awards, the academy is part of Greenwood Academies Trust and provides specialist education for children aged 3 to 18.

All pupils have an Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plan, and the academy caters for a wide range of abilities. They deliver a personalised curriculum, backed by a highly trained team and an inclusive, pupil-centred ethos that celebrates each student's unique strengths and potential.

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual EHCPs - currently 6 pupils in the class with 2 HLTAs
  • Support the development of life skills, including self-help, communication, and self-regulation
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils in a highly supportive environment
  • Create and maintain a multi-sensory learning experience
  • Track and report pupil progress with precision
  • Collaborate with colleagues on school-wide improvement initiatives
  • Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of learners

What We're Looking For

We welcome applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Experience teaching pupils with ASC or a willingness to undertake training
  • Strong awareness of Autism and related needs
  • A recognised qualification or CPD in supporting neurodivergent learners
  • Confidence in personalising and delivering a curriculum that meets EHCP goals
  • Commitment to inclusive education and whole-child development
  • A team-oriented mindset and a drive to contribute to the school's development plan

Why Join?

  • Be part of a caring, ambitious school community
  • Shape educational experiences that celebrate every learner's uniqueness
  • Collaborate with a passionate team focused on impact and innovation

If you have the skills, compassion, and commitment to join their growing provision, we'd love to hear from you.
