Loss adjusters have the job of thoroughly investigating a claim, determining if payment is warranted, negotiating a financial settlement, and authorising payments to the Insured.  Once the Insured makes a claim on their insurance policy, you will first investigate the claim in order to determine if the claim is legitimate and whether the policy covers the damage/loss.

Other information that may have to be collected include photos of property damage, and other pertinent information/proof of ownership required to fully evaluate a claim.  If the adjuster determines that the claim on the policy is legitimate, the adjuster will then negotiate a settlement amount or assist with fulfilment through the engagement of suppliers, surveyors, contractors or other specialists.
