The Role 

We are looking for a motivated Junior Invoice Specialist with a precise and detail-oriented approach to join our Finance team. The candidate will be primarily involved in managing the invoicing process, with a focus on mass claims and specialty claims, and will support the current contact person in accounting and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issuing invoices related to mass claims and specialty claims
  • Acting as back-up for the current invoicing contact person
  • Updating and maintaining accounting files
  • Understanding and correctly applying VAT codes
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to reconcile invoices
  • Sending payment reminders and monitoring due dates
  • Supporting administrative activities related to general accounting, with a focus on customer invoicing
  • Ability to liaise with internal teams (e.g. operations, finance, client services) to resolve invoice queries and ensure timely billing.
  • Highlight a mindset for identifying and suggesting improvements to invoicing processes and controls.
  • Add awareness of internal controls and compliance requirements related to billing and revenue recognition.

Required Skills

  • Degree in Economics or equivalent qualification
  • Some experience (internship or first job) in administrative/accounting roles
  • Good knowledge of general accounting and VAT codes
  • Good to excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Good to excellent command of Excel and main IT tools
  • Precision, confidentiality, organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Results orientated individual who takes pride in the performance of the team and delivering high quality outcomes.
  • Good English and Italian language skills (both written and verbal).
