The Role

Charles Taylor InsureTech is looking for a Network Engineer who will be part of a cross discipline global operations team. This is a hands-on technical role that covers troubleshooting environments, circuit activations, equipment installations & configurations, performing detailed root cause analysis, the effective escalation of challenges, and documenting best practices. The Network Engineer requires experience implementing complex projects, being proactive, meeting project deadlines, meeting challenges with a positive attitude, and work with a strong sense of task ownership. Charles Taylor is a cloud first organisation focusing on the Microsoft Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud platforms. The role has a scheduled major incident on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circuit activations and decommissioning
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate SDWAN
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet Cloud EMS
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiManager
• Patching network equipment
• The regional escalation point for all Network issues
• Work in a cross functional operations team managing and supporting all aspects of network infrastructure
• Install, configure, and maintain Azure and AWS networking resources (NSG, Front Door, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways, Web Application Firewalls, Network Groups)
• Support a global Meraki Wi-Fi deployment
• Troubleshoot network access issues
• Configure site to site IPSec VPNs
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot WAN activations
• Implement new solutions to meet business requirements
• Create and maintain infrastructure related diagrams, documentation, and procedures
• Conduct full stack diagnostics to help determine the root cause of problems

Required Skills

• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE 5+) or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience with Fortinet FortiManager, EMS, and FortiGate products
• Experience activating and testing new internet circuits
• Experience with Azure and AWS networking
• Experience with Cisco routing/switching systems
• Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adhering to deadlines

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with outstanding troubleshooting skills, possess excellent communication skills, and be a self-starter who delivers solutions in high pressure situations.
