Job Description

  • Carry out Class 4 & Class 7 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and testing standards.
  • Accurately assess vehicle roadworthiness and identify any defects or reasons for failure.
  • Complete all MOT documentation and digital records accurately and efficiently.
  • Work closely with technicians to ensure failed vehicles are repaired and retested promptly.
  • Carry out vehicle health checks where required and identify additional repair requirements.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated in line with DVSA requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all DVSA guidelines, company procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Support the wider workshop and vehicle preparation teams as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Current and valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification.
  • Previous experience carrying out MOT testing in a dealership, independent garage, fleet, or vehicle preparation environment.
  • Sound mechanical knowledge and understanding of modern vehicle systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
