Sold Vehicle Controller

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum

Location: Avonmouth

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

At Carbase, we are not just in the business of selling cars — we are in the business of delivering exceptional customer experiences. As one of the leading independent used car retailers in the South West, we pride ourselves on our fast-paced environment, our people-first culture, and our commitment to quality.

This is a brand-new role, offering an exciting opportunity to shape processes and make a real impact from day one. If you thrive in a busy environment, love solving problems, and want to develop your career in a leadership role, this could be the perfect fit for you.

As a Sold Vehicle Controller, you will be at the heart of our preparation centre operations — managing the flow of sold vehicles from arrival through to final handover. You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure every vehicle meets our high standards and is delivered on time, every time.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Vehicle Journey: Oversee the full lifecycle of sold vehicles — from arrival, through prep, to final delivery.
  • Drive Priorities: Manage and prioritise the preparation of sold vehicles to meet delivery deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with our mechanical, bodyshop, and logistics teams to maintain an efficient, streamlined process.
  • Solve Problems Fast: Tackle issues head-on to keep operations moving, ensuring no delay impacts our customers.
  • Track Progress: Maintain clear, accurate records and report regularly to the Preparation Centre Manager.

About You – Our Ideal Candidate

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Excel in busy, fast-paced environments and stay calm under pressure.
  • Are organised, with strong problem-solving skills and a detail-driven mindset.
  • Communicate confidently across departments.
  • Work confidently in an independent environment
  • Experience in vehicle preparation or automotive operations would be an advantage
  • Have basic mechanical knowledge (preferred) and hold a full UK driving licence (essential).

Why Join Us?

  • Clear Career Path: This is a role with real progression potential into senior operational leadership roles within Carbase.
  • Fast-Paced & Rewarding: You’ll thrive in our high-energy, no-two-days-the-same environment.
  • Team Culture: Join a supportive, collaborative team where your impact is recognised.
  • Employee Benefits: Competitive salary, staff discounts, pension scheme, and access to ongoing training and development.
