We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to join our fast-paced, dynamic Weston Autocentre. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a can-do attitude, committed to maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, team leadership and customer service.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, managing technician productivity, coordinating parts and service planning, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering a seamless experience for both customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively plan and manage workshop diaries to maximise efficiency and output.
  • Drive full utilisation of EDynamix and other digital tools to enhance productivity.
  • Take full ownership of timely and parts ordering, ensuring returns are processed efficiently.
  • Oversee job card management, prioritising sold vehicles while effectively coordinating all scheduled service and repair work.
  • Ensure job card write-ups are accurate and compliant, with timely submission of warranty claims through appropriate systems.
  • Work closely and effectively with front-of-house team and other third parties to arrange seamless bookings or services as required.
  • Monitor and manage WIP (Work In Progress) daily and keep systems updated.
  • Maintain accurate stock control of workshop consumables.
  • Uphold and enforce workshop health and safety standards across the workshop at all times.

Person Specification:

  • Experienced in workshop or aftersales management within a fast-paced automotive setting.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused with a can-do attitude.
  • Technically knowledgeable with clear, confident communication skills.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in digital workshop tools (e.g., EDynamix).
  • Committed to high standards in safety, compliance, and quality.
  • Adaptable, dependable, and passionate about continuous improvement.
