Our client, a leading international insurance brokerage firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Construction Broker to join its growing Paris operation.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded broker with a proven ability to produce and place business within the construction sector. The role offers significant autonomy, access to senior decision-makers, and a genuine opportunity to build and lead a team as the practice continues to expand across France and, over time, wider Europe.

The Role

As a Senior Construction Broker, you will play a key role in developing the firm's construction offering in France, leveraging your existing market relationships to originate new business opportunities whilst delivering sophisticated insurance solutions to clients.

You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients, placing complex construction risks into both domestic and international insurance markets, and contributing to the strategic development of the practice.

This position offers a rare platform for an ambitious broker looking to move beyond a pure production role and take an active part in building a long-term franchise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with contractors, developers, engineering firms, project owners, and other key industry stakeholders.
• Generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth across the French market.
• Design, structure, and place complex construction insurance programmes.
• Negotiate with insurers and underwriting markets to secure optimal coverage and terms for clients.
• Advise clients on construction risk management strategies throughout the lifecycle of major projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider international network on multinational placements and complex cross-border projects.
• Support the growth of the Construction Practice across France.
• Contribute to the long-term development of a broader European construction platform.
• Mentor and support junior colleagues, with the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated team as the business grows.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience as a Construction Broker within a leading brokerage environment.
• Demonstrable track record of producing and placing construction-related business.
• Strong network within the French construction and insurance markets.
• Technical expertise across Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), infrastructure, energy, and large project risks.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to contribute to the growth of a market-leading practice.
• Ability to operate credibly with both clients and insurers at a senior level.
• Fluent French and English.
