Senior Cargo Broker / Producer

Location: Geneva, Switzerland OR Paris, France

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading international insurance brokerage to identify an experienced Cargo Broker / Producer to join its growing European Specialty Risks team in Geneva or Paris.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Cargo professional with strong industry relationships and a proven track record in business development. The successful individual will play a key role in expanding the firm's Cargo portfolio across Switzerland and the wider European market while leveraging the resources and global reach of an established international platform. 

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the growth of an existing Cargo book through new business generation and account development. 
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through market research, networking, and targeted business development initiatives. 
• Deliver high-quality advisory services to clients, providing technical expertise and tailored risk solutions. 
• Structure, negotiate, and place Cargo risks across international insurance markets. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and key market stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with colleagues across specialty and geographic practices to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver integrated client solutions. 
• Support portfolio planning and contribute towards revenue and growth objectives.
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events, and market engagements.

Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who possess:

• Significant experience within the Cargo and Marine insurance sector.
• A strong network of relationships across clients, insurers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, or trading businesses.
• A proven ability to generate new business and develop long-term client relationships.
• Experience operating within the European insurance market.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset combined with a collaborative approach.
• Fluency in English; additional European language skills would be advantageous.
