SVP Legal Counsel – Global Markets & Securities Finance

We’re working with a leading global financial institution on a senior legal opportunity within its Global Markets and Treasury Services team in New York.

The role will focus on securities finance, repo and central clearing, working closely with the business on complex transactions and new business initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate repo, securities finance and clearing agreements
• Advise on repurchase transactions, central clearing and capital markets
• Support secured financing, securities lending and related products
• Advise on legal and regulatory developments
• Develop legal templates, playbooks and guidance
• Partner with Risk, Credit and Compliance on new products and business initiatives

We’re looking for:

• US-qualified attorney with 5+ years’ experience
• Background in repo, securities finance, clearing or capital markets
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• New York, Florida, Massachusetts or Pennsylvania bar admission
