Fleet Supervisor

Accountable for quality, standards, service and desired outputs within inter-related functional areas of responsibility. May be responsible for work of others.
Job Purpose
To ensure compliance with all internal and legislated safety and quality standards regarding DC Equipment and Distribution fleet at the Company, including vehicle maintenance and supporting Profitable Volume Growth through maximising vehicle uptime.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Fleet Management, Reporting and Master Data Maintenance
- Engage Fleet suppliers to maintain optimal fleet uptime to deliver against Customer Service commitments.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to the Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996.
- Conduct regular fleet inspections and Adhoc Audits.
- Monitor and understand overall Fleet KPI’s.
- Ensure that the fleets appearance upholds The Beverage Company’s image.
Manage fleet service providers against SLA’s.
- Ensure that external Transport service providers are engaged and SLA’s are in place.
- Ensure that company Master Data is up to date and available at all times.
- Master data governed by defined standards and applied uniformly across all fleet elements.
- Comprehensive monthly reporting available, including but not limited to:
- Vehicle uptime and utilisations statistics;
- Breakdown analysis and preventative measures to be taken;
- Pre/Post inspection sheet analysis and corrective actions;
- Fuel Consumptions statistics by vehicle and corrective action to be applied;
- Planned preventative maintenance versus actual preventative maintenance in UM and CM;
- Vehicle telematics and reporting;
- Vehicle aesthetics measured to ensure alignment to Company standards
- Vehicle safety and legal compliance (licensing, roadworthiness, tyre thread depth)
- Pre-Trip analysis and other basic Safety interventions
- Vehicle refurbishment and rebuilds conducted in line with plan and quality inspected.
