Quality Control Team Leader – Engineering

 Location: Brighouse
 Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Team Leader to join our growing engineering team in Brighouse. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on quality professional to take ownership of inspection activities and ensure our high standards of precision and reliability are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Quality Control team, ensuring efficient inspection processes and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the inspection of components and assemblies using a range of precision measuring equipment.
  • Operate and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other metrology tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Liaise with production, design, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and support internal and external audits.
  • Drive quality improvements and support corrective and preventative action initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Quality Control / Quality Inspection leadership role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in using CMM and a variety of precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).
  • A background in valves, fluid control systems, or similar precision-engineered components would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
