FLT Driver / General Operative – Day Shifts

📍 Allerton Bywater, Castleford, WF10 💷 £12.98 per hour 📅 Monday to Friday 🔄 Temp to Perm

Aqumen Recruitment is looking for an FLT Driver/General Operative to join a busy plastic recycling and manufacturing site in Allerton Bywater.

This is a physical, hands‑on production role, with around 80% shop‑floor work and 20% FLT/warehouse duties.

Day Shifts (flexible within core hours)

You must be able to work across the day‑shift pattern:

• 8am–4pm (core shift)

• 7am–3pm

• 9am–5pm

No nights. No rotating shifts.

The Role

You’ll be:

• Feeding materials into recycling machinery

• Preparing plastic materials for processing

• Working around shredders, blenders and production equipment

• Moving and organising materials

• Carrying out general warehouse duties

• Using a forklift when required

• Keeping the work area clean and safe

We’re looking for people with

• Warehouse, factory or general operative experience

• Confidence in physical, hands‑on work

• Some previous forklift driving experience

• Valid FLT licence required

• Reliable, safety‑focused approach

• Comfortable spending most of the shift on the production floor

What’s on offer?

• £12.98 per hour

• Monday to Friday – no weekends

• Overtime available (same rate as perm staff)
