FLT Counterbalance Driver

Pocklington | £13.43–£15.45 per hour | Temp-to-Perm | No Weekends

We’re recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established manufacturing business in Pocklington.

This is a hands-on role offering long-term potential, competitive pay and the opportunity to secure a permanent position. You’ll play an important part in keeping production running safely and efficiently by moving materials, supplying production areas and supporting day-to-day site operations.

Pay and Shifts

£13.43–£15.45 per hour, depending on whether you work permanent days or rotating shifts.

Rotating shift pattern:

• Week 1: Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00
• Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 13:45–23:45

No weekend working.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating an FLT Counterbalance truck
• Moving raw materials and finished goods around the site
• Delivering ingredients and materials to production areas
• Loading, unloading and positioning stock
• Carrying out routine vehicle and safety checks
• Supporting stock movement and general warehouse activity
• Working closely with production teams to prevent delays
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following all site, chemical and process safety procedures

Some manual handling may be required, including lifting bags weighing up to 25kg.

What We’re Looking For

• A valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• Previous FLT or warehouse experience
• Confidence operating a Counterbalance truck in a busy environment
• Good awareness of workplace health and safety
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• Flexibility to support different areas of the operation
• Ability to work the rotating shift pattern

Manufacturing experience would be useful, but it is not essential.
