Job Description:

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 14:00 -22:00 (40 hours per week)

Pay: £12.34 per hour

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious General Operative with FLT experience to join our client's production team. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the continuous and correct flow of wool through feeding lines, maintaining blend integrity and cleanliness, and upholding quality standards throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production lines are consistently running and fed with wool.
  • using RAW materials from farm environment
  • cleaning wool
  • Accurately assemble and check blends in line with process instruction sheets.
  • Operate FLT Counterbalance trucks safely and efficiently for bale handling and feeding.
  • Open bales safely and ensure the correct blending techniques are followed.
  • Maintain product quality by checking for contamination and ensuring blend consistency.
  • Follow procedures for lot changes to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Keep the working area and equipment clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Perform weekly cleaning tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to ISO14001 environmental standards, including proper waste segregation and handling.
  • Report any discrepancies, hazards, or issues promptly to the Supervisor.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid FLT Counterbalance License – Desirable.
  • Previous experience would be great but not essential
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions with a strong eye for quality and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of health & safety and environmental procedures.
  • Comfortable working night shifts and performing physically active duties.
  • A team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • this would suit someone from heavy industrial or agricultural background
