Wild Impact Foundation Trust (Wild Impact) (www.wildimpact.earth) is a non-profit organisation supporting the conservation of 14 biodiversity landscapes and seascapes, and the sustainable development of the communities that are the custodians of these areas. These areas are situated in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Bhutan and Chile. Wild Impact works in close collaboration with &Beyond (www.andBeyond.com), with a shared Impact Vision guiding and shaping the development and implementation of all projects.
Wild Impact is recruiting a Digital Fundraiser to drive online fundraising growth through compelling digital campaigns, donor journeys, and data-driven engagement strategies. This role is central to expanding Wild Impact’s digital donor base, increasing online giving, and translating conservation and community impact into meaningful supporter action.
Reporting to the Wild Impact Senior Manager: Communications and Partnerships, the Digital Fundraiser will work closely with communications, programmes, partnerships, and finance teams to design and implement integrated digital fundraising campaigns across email, social media, websites, and third-party fundraising platforms.
The Digital Fundraiser will play a critical role in nurturing donor relationships, improving and strengthening Wild Impact’s digital fundraising capability in alignment with the organisation’s values, and Impact Vision. As a key contributor to Wild Impact’s resource mobilisation strategy, the Digital Fundraiser will help ensure sustainable funding for conservation and community development initiatives across the organisation’s landscapes and seascapes.
KEY OUTPUTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy.
- Identify and analyse trends, opportunities, and challenges in the digital fundraising landscape.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs for digital fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with the Wild Impact’s overall vision and goals.
Campaign Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of multi-channel digital fundraising campaigns, including email, social media, and online events.
- Oversee content creation, ensuring messaging is compelling, culturally relevant, and resonates with target audiences.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.
Donor Engagement
- Ensure professional engagement with key donors online and provide a high level of engagement and satisfaction.
- Utilise data-driven insights to segment and target donors effectively, enhancing personalisation and donor retention.
Partnership Development
- Identify and establish partnerships with digital platforms, influencers, and other organisations to expand Wild Impact’s reach and fundraising potential.
- Collaborate with the partnerships and communications team to integrate fundraising efforts with broader organisational campaigns.
Budget Management
- Manage the digital fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximising return on investment.
- Explore innovative and cost-effective digital tools and platforms to enhance fundraising efforts.
Compliance
- Comply with Wild Impact’s policies regarding funding sources, confidentiality, data handling, etc.

The successful incumbent will be a creative, results-driven, and a digitally savvy professional with a strong understanding of digital fundraising, online donor engagement, and campaign optimisation. They will be highly organised, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, platforms, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent digital communication, influencing, and presentation skills, including high-level word, excel, PowerPoint and Teams literacy

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Relevant qualifications in digital marketing and communications.
- A minimum 3+ years of experience in digital fundraising, with a proven track record of success, mainly in the non-profit sector.
- Understanding and sensitivity of different cultural, social, and political dynamics.
- In-depth knowledge of Google and Meta’s advertising and content policies, including experience navigating and optimising campaigns within these guidelines.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of fundraising.
- Experience in designing and implementing digital fundraising campaigns that effectively engage and retain donors.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing and fundraising tools, platforms, and analytics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences internally and externally.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Budgeting experience (preparing, presenting, and monitoring).
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and actively pursue networking.
- Experience with fundraising software and CRM systems is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Sandton office-based role, with extended hours.
- Extensive travel within South Africa, regionally and internationally, including remote locations and potential uncomfortable working conditions.
