The Role

We are looking for a reliable, friendly and experienced core team of carers to support a female in her 20s living independently in the York area.

She loves art, adventures and taking part in creative activities. One aspect of the team’s work will be to support her to re-engage with her studies at university and re-establishing her connections to the community, both local and wider. She has an assistance dog and a cat.

We are looking for individuals with relevant experience, to support this female who presents with complex health needs and autism. You will work closely with her to manage her conditions, training included, while adhering to the care plan and supporting her to live life to the full!

Hours required: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 12 hour shifts 8am-8pm/10am-10pm. 

Spec:

  • Reliable and committed
  • Experienced with mental health and complex care needs
  • Friendly and approachable 
  • Preferably enjoys art and creative activity
  • Able to work with dogs and cats
  • Must hold a Full UK driving license. 
  • At least 18 years old
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references require
