Do you have experience managing a payroll function autonomously and assisting finance teams?  Are you a hands on, team player, used to providing employee support, running analytics and pulling reports?  If so, apply now, as we are looking for a Payroll and Finance Specialist to join our small Gatwick Team.  Reporting to the Finance Manager UK, you will be responsible for the management of the end-to-end monthly payroll process for a number of companies in the Air Partner Group, as well as supporting the Finance team where necessary, with both day-to-day activity and project related work.

Please note that you will need to be happy to undergo a 5 year background check if you are successful and we work a hybrid mode of a minimum of 3 days in the office each week, so you will live within a commutable distance of RH6 0PA.

You will:

  • Manage the end-to-end monthly UK payrolls, liaising with HR Business Partners
  • Manage HMRC processes (including end of year reporting. P11d, PSA)
  • Be the first point of contact for relevant employee queries
  • Assist with the gender pay report, annual report and ad hoc data requests
  • Support the Group annual salary review process
  • Support the Finance Team with wider core activities and ad hoc project work

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience managing end to end payroll
  • Previous experience assisting with finance departmental tasks
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail, with a focus on reconciliation
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • A proactive and positive approach to work
  • A strong team player, able to demonstrate flexibility with workload / resources
  • Excellent IT skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
  • Awareness of confidentiality within the Payroll environment
  • Experience of providing Payroll analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of people
  • Resilience and an ability to work in an organisation that is undergoing frequent change due to development and growth
