Data Scientist Clinical Trials(Permanent)
We have a great role for an experienced data scientist who is interested in clinical trials performance, data quality and clinical trials outcomes. If you are you a Clinical Data Scientist with experience in Life Sciences looking to work for a rapidly growing RBQM provider, let us know? You will need to be able to work well from home for this role. We need someone who can support the existing team to manage reporting in Power BI and R. Moving forwards, there will be more ML and AI techniques so you will be able to develop those skills. Robus coding and producing great visualisations for clients running clinical trials, working as part of a bigger team are the most important skills for now. Key Skills Experience in data modelling, using statistical methods to identify behavioural and data patterns. Industry experience would be advantageous, but this is not clinical endpointanalysis so a different way of thinking about data and stats modelling is required. An interest and/or experience in machine learning models would also be an advantage but not essential. This role will require you to write reproducible, robust code and so an understanding of the importance of good software development practices and interest in this area would be beneficial. Or if not, an appetite to learn! Interpersonal Skills - Self-motivated - Creative and visionary - Strong communication skills, ability to make a positive impact with internal and external stakeholders - Enjoy working in a small, but growing, results-oriented team - Ability to take responsibility for the consistency and quality of deliverables
Technical Skills (not exclusive) - Strong foundational knowledge of statistics (Hypothesis testing, point estimation, confidence intervals, numerical summaries, common distributions...) - Experience in statistical modelling and regression analysis - Programming skills in R e.g. data manipulation/viz (dplyr, ggplot2, tidyverse, RMarkdown), R package development (devtools, roxygen2, usethis, lintr) and statistical modelling - Some Python experience would be ideal as we move towards Machine Learning. - Experience/interest in application of Machine Learning - Ability to review clinical protocols and understand the study design and subject visits schedules - Ability to demonstrate and apply critical thinking to KRI and data visualization design and centralized monitoring implementation - Ideally an understanding of clinical trial data and data structure - Desirable to have an understanding of software development practices (Agile, a collaboration tool such as Git, Testing/validation strategies, containerisation/similar)
