Accounts Assistant

Location Leicester: Hybrid Working. 1 day on site, 4 days from home (Leicester)

Full Time

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 dependent upon experience

Our client is  a highly successful business with a small branch network, and is part of a larger corporate group..

It is growing and it has a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant.

This role will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for providing financial processing support for multiple operations sites.

The successful candidates will;

• Have a minimum of two years’ experience within a relevant finance role
• Have experience of using Sage Accounts Software.
• Be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel
• Have effective time management skills
• Have a can-do attitude and be able to communicate effectively.
• Travel to site on a weekly basis (Cheltenham one week and Henley the following week )
• Clean driving licence required

Role Responsibilities:

• Process site level supplier invoices with high degree of accuracy and reconcile supplier statements.
• Independently complete bank reconciliations and other GL account reconciliations.
• Allocate customer payments and perform credit control duties
• Provide training and support for finance processes performed at the site level
• Complete compliance returns and filings e.g. PAYE
• Assist finance and operations leadership with varied admin tasks when required
• Updating the cash flow on a daily basis
• Supplier payments and sending remittances
• Import of Sales and Cost of Sales invoices into Sage
