We are currently seeking an Export Control Officer to join our team on a fixed-term contract at our Capenhurst/Birchwood site. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Technical Export Control team at Capenhurst, ensuring that Urenco UTD complies with the required export regulations.

What You’ll Do:

• Export License Applications: Prepare and submit new export license applications (including via SPIRE) for certain exports of goods and technology by the Urenco Group.
• Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with technology export licenses, including the timely renewal of Export Control Licenses (ECL).
• UK Licence Reporting: Ensure compliance with UK licence reporting requirements, including the submission of monthly licence logs.
• Policy & Procedure Management: Maintain and propose changes to internal export control policies and procedures, including internal processes required to ensure ongoing compliance.
• KPI Reporting: Report export control-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Technical Export Control team.
• Training & Support: Organise and assist in providing export control training and advice to new employees at UTD Capenhurst.

What You Need to Thrive in This Role:

• Experience: Experience dealing with export licenses and regulatory bodies.
• Knowledge of German Export Control: Familiarity with export control license applications within Germany is desirable.
• Industry Experience: Experience in the energy or nuclear sector is desirable.
• Self-Motivation: A self-driven individual who is committed to managing and completing assignments independently.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
