Head of R&D
Location: Woking, Surrey  
Salary: £depending on experience + bonus + relocation assistance + sponsorship available.

Remarkable Jobs have partnered with a leading Biotechnology organisation, who are at a pivotal stage of growth and require a Head of R&D.
The Head of R&D will lead all preclinical research, delivery of formulation and development activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all R&D personnel, and requires simultaneous management of several programs. In-depth knowledge of drug delivery and formulation are essential for the role and experience with lipid nanoparticles and the delivery of nucleic acids.

Head of R&D Key Responsibilities:

• Lead research and preclinical development activities
• Manage multiple programs simultaneously
• Devise study plans, review and sign off on study protocols
• Manage all R&D personnel
• Support regulatory submissions and clinical development

Head of R&D Key Skills:

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a similar field
• 10+ years’ experience in formulation and drug delivery
• 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• 5+ years management experience
• Proven project management skills
• In-depth experience with lipid nanoparticles, polymers, and the delivery of nucleic acids
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for drug development
• Experience in authoring presentations and scientific publications
