Capacity Management Analyst – Shipping – Up to £50k
London | Hybrid | Full-time

FryerMiles is recruiting a Capacity Management Analyst for an international shipping line in London.

You’ll help maximise vessel utilisation and commercial returns across European services, balancing customer demand, cargo mix and operational requirements. Working closely with commercial, operations and equipment teams, you’ll use data to support daily capacity decisions and improve service performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing vessel space across assigned services, with a focus on achieving full utilisation.
  • Optimising cargo mix to maximise yield, including prioritising lightweight, higher-yield cargo.
  • Reviewing performance against targets, producing KPI reports and investigating variances.
  • Coordinating booking office and customer allocations in line with commercial priorities.
  • Balancing empty container repositioning with customer requirements and available capacity.
  • Monitoring vessel utilisation, supporting routing decisions and reducing port dwell times.
  • Identifying opportunities to contain operational, storage and port costs.
  • Maintaining accurate information in internal systems and coordinating with commercial teams, operational colleagues and shipping partners.

The role would suit someone with around 2–3 years’ experience in shipping, logistics or a relevant analytical role. Previous liner shipping experience in pricing, space control or capacity management would be advantageous.

You’ll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, commercial awareness and a proactive, organised approach. You should be comfortable making decisions under pressure, managing competing deadlines and building effective working relationships.

Proficiency in Google Workspace, including Sheets, Docs and Slides, and Google Gemini is required.

Applicants must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
