Financial Accountant – 12-Month FTC

We’re working with a large international organisation looking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a broad role supporting European financial operations, with responsibility for accurate financial reporting, statutory accounting, group consolidation and audit.
Key responsibilities:

Supporting monthly and year-end financial close

Preparing balance sheet and bank reconciliations

Producing analysis and reports for senior stakeholders
-
Preparing quarterly and annual group consolidation reporting

Taking responsibility for the annual statutory audit
-
Ensuring compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies
-
Providing technical accounting advice across the business
-
Supporting finance system enhancements and process improvements

Strengthening financial controls across accounting processes

Assisting with ad hoc finance projects
About you:

ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualified or part-qualified

3–5 years’ relevant finance and accounting experience
-
Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
-
Good understanding of statutory accounting and IFRS
-
Confident Excel user
-
Able to communicate effectively with operational and senior stakeholders
-
Previous supervisory or people-management experience would be beneficial
