Erongo Marine Enterprises (PTY) LTD (“EME”) is a proudly Namibian registered fishing company, based in Walvis Bay, and is operating in the Horse Mackerel fishery. EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally.

EME currently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

Electrical Engineer

Maintains electrical equipment in consultation with Chief Electrical Engineer.  

Minimum Requirements & Duties

  • Namibian citizenship
  • STW95 F Class 4/3 (Operational level) CoC Marine Engineer certificate Unlimited with Offshore Electrical Engineering specialization
  • Or equivalent qualification CoC such as Electro-Technical Officer Red seal.
  • Experience on Soviet-built Meridien factory freezer trawler is added advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of three phase power generation and distribution.
  • Thorough knowledge of engine safety control systems, Alarms.
  • Ensure safe working condition of electrical equipment.
  • Ensure reliable condition, operation, and maintenance of all electrical equipment.
  • Responsible of automation equipment (mechanisms, devices, systems, equipment).
  • Strong leadership, good communication skills. Keeps record of electrical documentation
  • Knowledge of speaking Russian language is an added advantage
