CNC Lathe Turner

£43,200 – Double Days Shifts

Our client is seeking an experienced skilled CNC Lathe Turner to set and operate the Fanuc controlled CNC machine to perform the allotted tasks to meet specification agreed targets, criteria and deadlines.

• Load/unload parts, distinguishing and identifying proper tooling/collets/fixtures
• Tool changes
• Setting and operating the large CNC lathe/grinding machines machinery to complete new product and different functions
• Observing machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
• Using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper
• Aadjusting machine control, including part process
• Inspecting tools for sharpness and usability, deburr and reporting to Line Manager
• First inspection using appropriate measuring instruments &  making necessary
• CNC inspection
• Maintaining accurate data/records/documentation associated with your work
• Adherance to to H&S & company ploicy & proceedures

Essential Skills & Experience

• Approriate engineering qualification or time served apprenticeship together with working experience within similar environments
• CNC setting & operating of large lathes/machinery
• Excellent attention to detail
• Programming is an advantage but not essential as training can be given
• Must be able to work the shift pattern of 06.00 – 14.00 (for 2 weeks) and 14.00 – 22.00 (for 2 weeks)
