As Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience in supporting children with diverse needs in the classroom and collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals. You will work closely with the school’s SENDCO, as well as classroom teachers and other support staff, gaining a rich understanding of SEN provision and developing a range of support strategies. A welcoming, inclusive Primary School located in central Newcastle, committed to supporting all students, including those with SEN. The school offers a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, regardless of challenges. As Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the school’s Inclusion Team, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive setting. Ideal for Graduates of Education, Psychology or related subjects keen to gain long-term experience as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to best prepare for training in Teaching, Educational Psychology or similar. As Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with individual students with SEN to help them access the curriculum, build social and emotional skills, and support their overall development. Your role will include providing tailored assistance to children with ASD, SEMH and other complex communication and learning difficulties, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive both academically and personally. You’ll be an integral part of the Inclusion Team, working in partnership with other professionals and school staff to ensure each child’s needs are met. INDEDU |
