Location: Bristol, BS30

Salary: £17.93ph

Contract: Full Time (39 hours) Temp-Perm

Shift Time: 07:00am-16:00pm Monday-Thursday, 07:00am-12:00pm Fridays

MDE are recruiting for our manufacturing client based in Warmley. We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our client’s dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.
• Program CNC milling machines using appropriate software and control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Heidenheim).
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining tasks.
• Conduct quality checks using standard inspection equipment to ensure components meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. 

Requirements

• Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency with CNC control systems such as Fanuc or Heidenheim.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tight geometric tolerances.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. 

Desirable Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards.
