Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of STEM lessons, assisting with practical activities, experiments, and problem-solving exercises
• Provide 1:1 and small-group tutoring to students struggling with specific STEM concepts, adapting approaches to their individual learning needs
• Help create a stimulating learning environment through the use of interactive resources, technology, and real-world STEM applications
• Encourage students to explore STEM subjects beyond the classroom, fostering curiosity and a passion for learning
• Assist teachers with preparing learning materials and managing classroom activities during STEM lessons
• Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and additional resources to support their development
• Promote a growth mindset, helping students build resilience and confidence in STEM subjects

Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – Key Requirements:

• A 2:1 degree or higher in a STEM-related discipline such as Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics, or Technology
• A strong interest in STEM education and helping students excel in these areas
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage students and explain complex concepts in a relatable manner
• Prior experience working with children or supporting learning in any capacity is beneficial but not required
• An enthusiasm for problem-solving and hands-on learning
• Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to working with students of varying abilities
• A desire to make a positive impact on students’ academic development and inspire them to pursue STEM careers
