A fantastic secondary school near central Leeds is looking to hire a Graduate English Teaching Assistant for a long-term position starting in February 2025 (with the role running for the full academic year).

This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a supportive academic environment, while earning up to £520 per week.

About the Graduate English Teaching Assistant Role:

As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the teaching staff in delivering engaging English Literature and Language lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group academic support to students, helping them reach their full potential.
• Assist in the preparation of lesson materials and resources.
• Work with students aged 11-16, including those preparing for GCSEs, fostering a passion for English.
• Help manage classroom activities and contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
• Contribute to raising student engagement and attainment in English.
• Work sociable hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

About You:

We're looking Graduate English Teaching Assistant who:

• Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related subject from a Top University.
• Has a passion for literature and a desire to inspire young minds.
• Is committed, reliable, and able to work well within a team.
• Is considering a career in education and eager to develop teaching skills.
• Previous experience in education is preferred but not essential.
