An innovative law firm based in Reading are currently looking for a Office and Legal Accounts Manager to carry out the day to day running of the firm and the accounts department. This is a full time, office based role and represents an excellent opportunity to work with a modern forward thinking law firm.
 
 
 
Responsibilities include:-
 
 
 
"Dealing with all day to day operation of managing a law firm
 
"Dealing with all day to day operations within a legal accounts department.
 
"Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
 
"Completion of month end and year end procedures.
 
"Processing quarterly VAT returns.
 
"Producing monthly reports to fee earners
 
"Ensuring all transactions are processed daily and recorded accurately in accordance with SRA and AML rules.
 
"Credit control
 
"Managing IT functions and liaising with the IT department.
 
 
 
The successful candidate will be managing the staff within the law firm and will be supported in the legal accounts department by 2 legal cashiers.
 
 
 
Candidates should have a good knowledge of Compliance and Solicitors Accounts Rules and ideally have a minimum of 5 years experience within a law firm. The firm currently use Quill accounting software. Experience of this accounts package is not necessary as training will be provided. Competitive salary on offer depending on experience.
