Environmental, Health & Safety Officer - £38k+ - Telford

Are you passionate about maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment? We are looking for a dedicated Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to join our clients growing team in Telford.

You will manage both the day-to-day tasks relating to Environmental Health & Safety whilst striving for best practice and continual improvement in line with business objectives. Additionally, you will play a critical frontline role ensuring the safety of all employees, customers, and visitors to the company and will work closely with the business to ensure we comply with environmental regulations and standards to minimise their environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish, implement, and maintain an Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001.
• Ensure compliance with H&S legislation across the business, providing guidance on best practices, conducting toolbox talks, and linking into induction training sessions.
• Monitor and control utilities and waste, driving reduction initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Report and reduce the number of accidents and near misses.
• Achieve zero RIDDOR reportable incidents for MME staff.
• Maintain continual compliance with ISO 14001.

Requirements:

• Experience in environmental, health, and safety roles
• IOSH / NEBOSH Qualification
• ISO14001 Knowledge
• Strong understanding of H&S legislation
