Job Title -  Shift Leader

Salary -  £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Location -  Oxfordshire

Contract -  Fulltime, Permanent Position

Hours -  3 Cycle Shift Pattern (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am)

MDE are proud to be supporting a thought leader in the food and beverage space in their search for a Shift Leader who will support the Manufacturing division within their business. 

The role of Shift Lead is a critical part of the 24-hour manufacturing operation in Oxfordshire. Required to Lead and Develop the team ensuring the team deliver sustainable results across the packing section.

Being accountable for all aspects of Safety, Quality, performance and continuous improvement, the Shift Lead will create and drive safety and quality through behaviours developing a culture of high action orientation, drive for results and continuous improvement. 

You will also be committed to putting people at the centre of the operation and supporting their development. 

Main Responsibilities 

• Creating a positive Safety, Health and Environment culture by leading from the front.
• Lead Safety & Food Safety incident investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Own the development of associates through performance conversations and through PDP’s
• Be able to own and drive personal development growth for themselves in line with business priorities and individual training needs.
• Drives key aspects of their shifts training needs anaylsis to create an engaged multi skilled team who can operate with autonomy
• Positively engage and coach teams in problem solving to identify losses and maximise performance using Lean tools to drive AM culture at site
• Ensure all relevant people policies are adhered too.

Essential Experience 

• Experience and evidence of developing a team through building leadership capabilities
• Able to apply LEAN tools such as VSM, SMED, KAIZEN to improve manufacturing processes.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels across a wide variety of functions to achieve results.
• Educated to Degree level or intellectually of Degree calibre
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a manufacturing/supply chain job ideally within an FMCG manufacturing environment
